Will a SD card (secure media) fit into a MMC (multi media card) slot?

I have this Kazoo MP3 player that has a Multi Media Card slot for up to a 128 Meg card. I inadvertingly ordered a SD card which appears to be identical in size. Are these two memory types interchangeable? The SD cards can be write protected other than that they appear the same.

SD supports some copyright/encryption that the MMC does not. Other than that, yes, they are functionally the same. While most devices designed to use MMC will support SD, there are a few which have problems. You might check with the manufacturer to find out.

There is also a slight thickness variation between the two. If the SD card will fit in, it should function normally.
