Nope, check the scores here..
It won't be at 100, but it should be playable depending on the rest of your rig.

if im gonna spend $400 on a vidoe card, It better do that, do you guys guess the NV35 will be capable of this?

Nope, it can't. Try reading Anand's benchmarks. The GeForce FX series doesn't come close...

I'm not too sure how well I remember this, but if the NV35 is the card Nvidia hasn't released yet, it may just be capable of it. I've heard things about how it will be 2x the speed of a... I think it was a 9700 Pro, but DO NOT quote me on that. Its just what comes to my mind. But like I said, if the NV35 is the chipset Nvidia hasn't released yet, then that has a pretty good chance.

ok thx, I heard that the NV35 will be 256 bit, imagine roughly twice the bandwith the gfFx 5800 ultra has now :)
thats like 32GB/s Or think of it this way, a 500 mhz radeon 9700 pro with 1 ghz memory, not exactly the same but, pretty close imo.

I so hope that is true!

I thought someone said the transition to 256bit would mean quite a lot of redesigning, and thus I doubt it'll happen from the NV30 to NV35 since it isn't a major change, its more like 300 to 350. I'm guessing they'll have a 256bit bus with the NV40 though.

if you are going to spend 400$ on a videocard, you are paying too much. ati sells the 9700pro for 299$.

also, no card can do what you are asking, so apparently you are asking too much. ;)

IMHO (consider this speculation with a little bit of reason behind it), to get 100 FPS @ 1600x1200 with 16AF/6AA in UT2K3 would require a CPU and memory above and beyond what is available. Even with something higher than an Intel HT 3.06/Barton 3000+, you'd probably have to overclock the hell out of the card beit 9700, 9800, or GFFX Ultra. The 6XAA implementation is still very GPU & GPU memory dependent (read: a huge hit). However, the overall framerate isn't solely dependent on GPU/VPU especially in the Unreal series/engine. CPU and mobo memory play a significant key - bot AI for instance. I could see you pulling closer on 16AF/4AA (Optimal Quality driver setting) or maybe even pulling it off with 8XAA/2XAF (High Quality driver setting). Both of them would still look incredibly good, but I think you'd have to drop to 1280x960, 1280x1024, or 1152x864 to use 4xaa/6xaa and still insure 100 FPS the majority of the time. More important than the card is the rig powering the card...what are your specs by the way?

NV35 is suppose to have a 256bit mem bus

the human eye average is about 60, there is plenty that cant see above 50, and some that see well above 70, it all depends,I for one, can tell the difference between 100 fps and 60.

You *might* be able to achieve that with the upcoming Intel processors in the 2nd quarter which will fea ture an 800mhz FSB and HT. They will be selling the 2.4,2.6,2.8.3.0, and 3.2 ghz cpus with an 800mhz FSB and HT in the second quarter. Pair the 3.2ghz cpu with dual channel ram and atleast 2 sticks of 400mhz DDR RAM you have a good chance. You'll need to obviously get the nicest card then possibly. Like I said earlier, I think that the NV35 has a pretty good chance.

What do you need 100FPS+ for? It won't be very noticable beyond 60 FPS. When you start watchin TV after playing at a FPS rate of 100+ the TV will start to seem lagging behind... lol ;)

Yes but lower FPS is an indication that the card wont have much power to run future games... thats why people care about high FPS, gives them breathing space! :)
