Will a P4-compatible PSU work for an AMD Thunderbird motherboard?

I am just wondering if a P4-compatible PSU that has that extra connector for the motherboard (12V connector??) still work with a AMD motherboard (which don't use that extra connector) ??

Thanks
Johnny

I see no reason that it wouldn't, just make sure it's got at least 300W, preferable 400W for higher T-bird's (1.2GHz and Up
