Will a P4 800fsb work in a 533fsb motherboard?

Hi All
Simple question: Any problems running a Pentium 4 800fsb processor in a motherboard built for 533? I assume it will simply run at the lower bus speed, but everything else will be the same. Is this accurate?

Thanks

Yes, it should run just the same, just with a lower FSB (and therefore lower CPU speed) :) Also, unless your board supports it, then you won't get the advantage of HT either.

man that was fast ;^) Thanks.

So: say a 2.8 (800fsb proc) is in a 533 board...it won't be rated at 2.8 anymore?

I think the 2.8 has a multiplier of 14 (2800/200) so 14*133 = 1866 on a 533fsb.
