Will A Nvidia Riva TNT2 Run Crysis?

On a serious note: I tried the Cyrsis demo on the 785G last night, even with 8x6 low, what I saw and did, I would not call playable. The peope writing reviews for this IGP claiming it plays Crysis, well, I'd qualify it more as, it tries to play it.

So slightly on topic, will we ever get to a day where we can run with say the Windows Experience rating, get a useful number from this and then go look at a box in a store to see if our number will run said game?

Hi guys

Just fired up my old 80386 with my trusty TRIDENT video "card" and 512k ram and 8mb system ram so I can play Crysis.

I had to compress it pretty heavily to fit on my 10mb hard drive, but I managed to squeeze it in using my trusty Winzip version 1 Beta.

I think the lighting is a bit off and not sure about the textures

Post some benchmarks. My 80286 with a Cirrus Logic card seems to be lagging a bit. Maybe it's the tape drive.

I'm pretty sure Crysis and many other modern games require a video card with at least VS and PS 2.0 support. So even if you could magically SLI 50 Voodoo cards, they won't run Crysis. Hell, without hardwate T&L, they won't even run many games from 2002 or 2003.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the menu in Crysis takes around 80MB of video memory to run. I don't know how true that is though.

plenty of games probably use that much or more even during the menu.

yeah I just took a look at RE5 and I was sitting at 168mb vram usage on the menu before you even play the game.

is there anyway to overclock a vic-20 ? it's lagging when there are 15+ enemies on screen at once.
