Well, I couldn't stand it....my "old" duron 600 system, needed upgrading. Bought k7vta3 motherboard - Sempron 2500+ combo. 512 Kingston 3200 memory. Sony 12x DVD burner. Antec Sonata Case.

The question I have will upgrading my Creative CT 6710 Riva TNT 16mb video card do anything for me? I do a lot of web surfing, some work at home with Word and Excel, some MP3 files for my portable player, and just got a 3.2 megapixed digital camera.

I was thinking of video card upgrade, something like 9200SE. Any thoughts here?

Thanks so much for your past input.

Somewhat, yes.
Your 2d image quality may be a bit higher and a bit more vram would help with some types of viewing that u might undertake. The 9200SE would be optimal for what you are doing. Don't go overboard on vram. 64, maybe 128 is plenty for your needs. The lower the cheaper and u wont use more then 64mb.

I have a Philips 19" monitor, something like a model 109.

I have been using it at 1028x768, but wife is complaining about small print.

:)

Thanks for any help,

I think I'm about to buy Crucial 9200se for $58.

If your wife is complaining about small print a new video card is a waste. You need to drop your resolution to 800x600. Might as well keep the TNT.
