Will a low I/O voltage prevent my GeForce from getting into W95B?

I'm drawing at straws on this one. I read somewhere that the I/O should be set at 3.5 volts not 3.3 for Abit boards. I have an Asus P3B-F would this still apply.

I RMA'd a new VisionTeK GeForce 256 and it still won't go into windows. Safe Mode is OK but when I try for regular windows everything starts but the video. I can hear the windows startup sounds and the CD-ROM spins up but no video.

Could some old Banshee drivers be causing this? At one time or another I used Creative Labs and 3dfx drivers. I thought I removed everything from the ini files and the registery.

Any ideas on what else I should look for would be greatly appreciated.

classy,

Could you please be more specific? I know W95B is old but I also know a lot of people still use it with the various GeForce cards that are available.

First of all on the P3bf the I/O voltage is already set to 3.5 by default. And most of the drivers today are no longer optimized for 95, just 98. Now I know they are basically the same, but there is a difference. I would advise a clean install and an upgrade to Win98 or 98se. It will only cost you about $40-45. I also think, wasn't there a C version of Win95? I believe that is the most stable and compatible version of Win95. I might be mistaken though. If the video is working in safe mode, and not normal boot up, it sounds like there is driver problem.
