Will a Golden Orb fit on an Abit KA7?

If I pick myself up a Slot A Golden Orb, will it fit on my Abit KA7 without a problem?

Do you mean KT7?

I know one of the Orbs doesn't fit, I don't know if it is Golden Orb. The problem can be solved by modifying the heatsink, but I have to ask: What's the attraction? Other than looking cool, the Orbs don't perform very well

No, I mean the KA7. There is a golden orb for the slot a chips.

Basically, I want it cause it's quiet. I don't overclock (at least not yet), so I just want a decent, functional, quiet heatsink and fan.

Looking cool is good too.

There was an article on the net somewhere about what you have to do to modify it. You will definitely have to visit a hardware store and get your hands dirty a bit.

You may just as well go with some of the standard heatsinks out there and just get a quieter fan for it. My plan is to get the best heatsink out there (I am still undecided between the Kanie HedgeHog, Alpha PAL6035 and MC462. I am going to pair a very quiet fan.
