Will a FOP38 let a 850 Tbird go to a gig?

I agree with Darkangel: seems like the aluminium chips are pretty tough to get above 950 or so, if they're speced at 800-850. The problem is that they don't lock up immediately - more like random crashes in CPU-intensive applications. Try running UT as a stability test, if you have it. It's the most sensitive app I've found so far, at least in Win2k.

I put a FOP38 on in only a few minutes. I'm sure all you strong guys can do it with no problem. 😉

I used a short, stubby, flat head screwdriver. It's about 3 in long, but the end is thick and wide, and the handle was a short round one that I could get completely into my palm. Found that worked better than a long screwdriver with the longer handle.

Is there any way you can tell if it's Al or Cu? Also, how much additional noise should I expect in a Fong Kai 320?
