I would imagine so, as long as you got firewire and itunes you should have no problem hooking them up. I know i have a second generation iPod and i know that works.
Yes, you can either run it as is using third party software link or reformat it as a Windows iPod using the iPod Updater. I did the later to my 1st gen 5GB since I don't use my mac that much anymore.
Yes. You can use ephpod (3rd party that i use) or itunes (doesnt work for me for some reason). There is a updater somewhere on the ipod site that will format and make it work if it its mac formatted.
