As the title asks, does anyone know if there are any problems with this match?

Thanks

No reason it shouldn't -- it's designed to work on this socket. I have a DS3R and use a Xigmatek that is similarly large and there is plenty of clearance between the heatsink and the memory slots. Usually if people have problems, it isn't so much with the motherboard, but with their cases. I have heard of a few people who have problems putting the side on their cases. I know my Xigmatek has less than an inch between the top of the cooler and the inside of the case.

If you haven't seen it, there is a review of your heatsink. Nice that it comes with a bracket instead of using those push-pins. I don't really like the push-pins, so I had to buy a bracket separate from the cooler. It was only about $10 with shipping, but it would have been nice to get it with the cooler... Here's the link:

BTW, I just saw in the Hot Deals forum that the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is on sale for a great price. This comes with the 120mm fan. As I said before, this is the cooler I run on the same MB you have. Don't know if you are set on the CoolerMaster, but if you aren't, here's the link to a very highly-rated cooler for a *great* price:

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I'm limited in my choices where I live and mail order is not an option :(

I bought a Scythe Mugen, but it covers the first mem slot, so now it's down to the Hyper 212 or a Zalman 9500 AT...

Thanks for that pic toadeater, helps a lot :) It's a pretty tight fit, I wonder how close to the PSU it will be...

Does the fan cover the first mem slot, or is there clearance for a module?

Pasa,
Hi, I have a ds3l with the 212. With the fan in the above pic config the fan just barely covers the first ram slot. Using ram with conventional heat spreaders I can angle the ram in and out. With the fan blowing up it gives about a 1/4 inch more space. BTW , I bought mine as a holdover till I get my WC system together but I am getting good enough temps right now so I am hesitent to upgrade. I really like the mounting system .It is very secure. You could'nt pay me the use a "sink" with the intel mounting pins. I loath them.
I am idleing at 38 with a room temp of 25c/77f.
