So I found this: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=AT-P850CF
That's an XTPE spec card, for $253, no rebates, no fanfare. The question being -- will this board run as a normal 'crossfire ready' board in a commodity motherboard, or will it require a CF motherboard and a second ATI card to function?
Very interesting, this. The pricing implies we could be seeing X850XTPE equivalent cards for around $200 soon. These boards are new enough that retailers aren't stuck with a giant stock of cards they've paid $300 for.
