Will a cd-r drive work on this PC?

Got a 2x2x6 cd-r drive, Will it work on a P75 with 16 megs of ram?
A friend wants me to install it in her computer, but wanted to make sure that it would work in that old of a system. Thanks for the replies!

it should work.

um, just don't do anything while it's burning. and turn off any programs that are running. (ctrl alt del, select one, and repeat, leave "explorer" alone)...

infact... while burning hold your breath it tends to help on older machines =] i remember burning cds with my old p133 man i had coasters everywhere
