Will a cd-drive work across countries?

Say I buy a CD-drive (Bare drive) in London and brought it back to the US to install on my computer. Will there be any power conflicts? My impression is that it'll work fine cos' the power coming out of the power supply is the same regardless of which country you are in, its the power supply which is different. Am i right?
