I recently moved and I currently live in an apartment not far from my parents house. So I get all my snail mail delivered there and ups/fedex stuff delivered to my apartment. My address on file with USPS is my parents house.

I ordered a book on amazon.com. I needed the book so I ordered it with 2-day delivery. Thinking they would ups it (as they did previously to a different apartment before I moved), I opted to get it delivered to my apartment. However, amazon shipped it through the postal service. Am I screwed? I kind of know the mail carrier as my parking space is nearest the mailboxes but he doesnt know my name or my apt. number. Hopefully, he will have the book and I can catch him on Monday and he'll give it to me.

Amazon will put whatever address you gave them on the package. If it is your apartment the mailman will deliver it there.

Yes, I am aware of that. I'm curious if USPS will still get it here since they don't know of me living here.

what do you mean "USPS doesn't know of you living there"?

if the address is on the package, they'll deliver it to that address.

I did a change of address when I moved out of my apartment to my parents house, so my mail gets delivered there. However, I live in an apartment about 15 minutes away.

Sooo it'll end up either at your apartment or your parents' house. It's not like they live hundreds of miles away, just drive over and get if it's delivered to their house.

The change of address shouldn't effect anything mailed to your new address. They don't just go by the name you know.
