Hello everyone! So I was curious if Microphone Volume increases when using different Computer Microphones? I don't need something that is more clear but something that is louder.

I am currently using a Clip on Microphone that sounds Decent for the $3.50 that it cost but I notice that when I play a game and Record it my voice sounds dim/low compared to the Games sound?

I was wondering if buying a different microphone would/could significantly increase my Microphone Volume?

Yes the Microphone Volume is set to 100% and the Boost is set to the Highest on Windows 7 but its still kinda low in my opinion.

For the $.3.50 I paid for this Mic its very decent volume and quality but I would like something Louder. What brand/models can you guys suggest to me? I prefer just a Microphone and not a full headset because I like using my 2.1 Speakers.

However If there is a headset with better Microphone that would allow me to put the headset around my neck and set the Microphone lever up to my house while listening through my 2.1 speakers that would be great!

Not wanting to spend more than $30? No one watches my Youtube videos anyway. I just do it because I am bored.

Thanks!

This is the Microphone I am using now.

I prefer desktop mics as i find they tend to be better quality, more so when you get up into the pro gear like kenwood.

Ive been using a old beat Kenwood KMC-9C from the 70's or 80's for the past 8-9 years. Got it from a Towing company i used to dispatch for when they upgraded their equipment. It looks like its been run over by a tow truck or two but works great.

I love the fact that you can speak at it from a few feet away and without even fully facing it and it picks up your voice loud and strong, and with it behind my keyboard and under my monitor it doesn't take up much deskspace.

I dont stream anything but have had multiple people ask me in games what mic im using because it sounds so clear compared to most of the cheap crap out there.

I tried looking it up online and I can't understand how it works? Is that thing even a Microphone? looks like a Truckers/dispatchers radio not a Microphone.

Its a desktop mic, it has a 6 wire rj-11(telephone) connector you can hook it up to your PC with a rj11 to 3.5mm adapter. Most dektop mics for pc use will obviously come with a 3.5mm already, the kenwood is designed for use with a VHF radio but can be used with anything its just a mic, and a good quality one meant for professional use.

A good microphone will sound better and be louder. In general a desktop mic will sound better than a headset mic. There are good clip on mic's that use bluetooth, but they aren't cheap.

This, times a million.

A used Logitech Desktop USB (not 1/8") sounds very good. I actually just got a Blue Microphones Yeti, and while expensive, multiple people have commented on my first day of use.
