will a 7900 gt run on this PSU?

yea, i really want high end graphics card but im in a jam. i have a viao and i cant buy a new PSU. so im stuck with a 360W. my specs are 1.5GB ram,P4 3.2 GHZ. i just want to know if my little ole 360W PSU can handle a 7900 gt, one of the minimum req say 350 or more but i dont really trust those for some reason... can anyone help?

PSU ratings are ussually over board. My 460 watt only has 25A on the 12v line the 1900XT recommends 30A on the 12v line. It runs it just fine. A 7900GT should be able to run just fine on a 360watt PSU imo.

I know several people did it on their dell machine which has a 350w PSU. You can check the dell forum video card for 8400.
So I guess the 7900 should work under 350w psu, but I haven't tried it on my dell 8400

7900GT SHOULD work under a 360W PSU, as long as it's rated correctly. depends on how accurate your PSU rating is.

I see you upped your price range a bit, a 7900gt will still run on your rig, consumes less power than the x850xt which will run.

yea, i just thought what the hell. so far everyone said that i should be ok with it, so i geuss im going for it. everyone thanks for the help. and nextman9 to.
