I bought two 750's and when i try to overclock them on my MSI 694D Pro AR board it just goes blank and doesn't show anything.. Should i increase the voltage or somethin like that like that?

Yes, you need more juice. How did you get the board above 114MHz fsb?
I tried to briefly and even with the jumper could not get beyond that.

I will also say that you may be optimistic about those chips going that far. I've been working with 700E, 750 and 800s and very few of them do 1Ghz, with the 700E being most likely to succeed, due to it's lower multiplier.

<< the msi mobo dual fcpga is suck >>

Really? I know some people who love it. What would you suggest then, smartass? :)

Hey compuwiz1
From everything I have heard about the board, it is indeed a good solid board, UNTIL you overclock it.

I wonder if he has the same steppings for both cpu's.

I have copper cools too. I should bump it up to +.1V. cuz it i could bump it up to .05V and it still worked. So its not dangerous to bump it up .1V? Well, thanks for all your help. The computer has been pretty kickass so far except for the freakin dvd drive. but thats another story that i intend to fix in the craftiest way ever.

I don't think a bump of .1v will hurt the cpu. I am running my P3 700 at 1.8v right now, default 1.65v.

nope.. didn't work. still did a blank screen even at +.05V.. these must be shi*ty processors. oh well, i hope they release a 1.2 ghz processor so i can upgrade later..

perhaps you should go up slowly so you see what voltages work at wat frequencies. then work your way up to that gig.

Well, its either 100 or 133 i want to go to becuase if i go to like 114 the pci bus will be a mess.. But yeah that is a good idea. i'll try it right now.

Why don't you try to test each 750 out individually? Try one see if it can reach 133fsb and at which voltage setting, then try the other by itself doing the same thing to see if they are capable of reaching that speed.

You are asking alot from the CPU but it should be able to be done if you move up step by step slowly. Increase the fsb slowly step by step MHz by MHz and stop until it gives a blank screen. Then put it back to the setting imediately before the one you just had. Then step up the power abit more and do the same. Keep doing it until you think you have a high enough MHz, but remember THE DAM THING GETS HOT AND I MEAN HOT!!! Get a very heavy duty cooler like a Hedghog or something that cam cope with so much cooling something that gives off so much heat.

Good Luck and don't go over the top of the CPU could melt! I have an Athlon and once I left it on for about half an hour and without the fan, casue the power cabl was loose, and it got up to something like 90-95 degrees celcius!!!

So just becarful,

SKY.

I have really nice copper coolers.. But tomorrow im customizing my case with rob from www.hardcorecooling.com and gettin peltiers on those babys.. and if that doesn't work im gonna build a water cooling system. I will make this work guys. I'll be sure to take pictures if you are interested. Operation pissoff intel has started.

Damn even like 4 extra cooling fans didn't do it. Next step.. modify case completely.. then after that.. water cooling :(
These aren't just regular fans, a system exhaust, a drive bay fan that is at the top that filters air and sh*te like that. Its really cool. Still, i got like 33 degrees celsius in normal mode.

Oh and it won't even display anything when i try to overclock it so i don't even know if its working.. Because its a jumper and not a soft-menu type thing.
