Will a 2520m fit in a socket that a B940 was in?

Bought a cheap ASUS laptop with a Pentium B940 (newest pentium mobile based off of Sandy Bridge).

Was thinking about getting an i5 2410m or 2520m cheap off ebay to pop in there.

is there a difference between sockets PPGA988 and PGA988?

according to cpu-world they both use socket G2. so the intel docs might just be inconsistant.

for example the b940 one doesnt have any mention of recommended channel price.
