will 6800/x800 work with agp 2.0

If i plan to get 6800/x800 will it work on my agp 2.0 mobo (its a dell with i850 chipset).

i searched online and stuff and i gathered that the new cards are 3.0 and run at lower voltages, but they can handle 2.0 voltages. the only problem is they might not run properly. I didnt exactly get a straight answer though. Will it work?
