Will 3/8-inch tubing fit over 1/2-inch barbs?

Right now, all of my water cooled components use 1/2-inch barbs and 1/2-inch tubing. I'm thinking of switching to 3/8-inch tubing and have a few questions about it:

1. Will 3/8-inch tubing fit?
2. Is 3/8-tubing generally more flexible than the ClearFlex 1/2-inch that I'm using? (the reason why I want to switch is for more flexibility).
3. Should I expect similiar performance? (I'm using a Hydor 185GPH pump).

It will be very tight so you must put the end of the tubing in boiling water for a few secs and if that doesn't work, then stretch the end of it out and put it back in the boiling water for about 5 secs and try again. It should work. I do hope you found an answer though, as this is a ten year-old thread...

No not really. 7/16 is very tight and 3/8 is basically impossible. I am sure it could be done with boiling water but I wouldn't recommend it, mostly because removing it could damage your computer
