Will 2700 RAM hurt performance with Athlon 64 3200+?

I'm running at 230 HTT and was using a 6:5 (166 setting) and 6:4 (133 setting) for testing. Running memory at 1:1 at my HTT would give me between 1-3% performance at most and cost me some a lot more money for snazzy OCZ 3700EB (in fact I just sold my 1Gig of Mushkin PC3500 Level II because of that and downgraded to PC3200 while making about $120). It just doesn't make sense. If you're looking for performance on the A64, make sure you have 1Gig of RAM and a nice vidcard. Memory speed even as low as 153 doesn't matter much but there will be a point when RAM speed will start to choke the system and show a more significant loss in performance. Bottom line is even running at DDR333 versus DDR400 makes no difference. Enjoy your new setup original poster guy 🙂

Thank you for all of the testing. I could not have hoped for a better answer. I'll be keeping my 2700 RAM and focus on the new A94 CPU and Motherboard. SWEEEEEET!
