I would like to connect this 25' M-M SVGA cable between a laptop and a 24" monitor. Will I experience any loss viewing HD video at 1920 x 1080?

TIA for the help.

You could have some issues with clock/phase . The monitor should have an adjustment for that in the menus. CRT monitors were very forgiving in that area but LCD are more sensitive to the phase and long cables induce reflections which plays around with phase.

We're using a 6' cable between our video conferencing computer and a Sony Trinitron CRT monitor and a 35' cable to a ceiling mounted Panasonic AX-200u LCD projector. Although it isn't running at HD resolutions, I didn't see any appreciable signal degradation when dragging a running DVD movie between the two.

We purchased all our cables (SVGA, HDMI, RCA, S-Video, RGB) from monoprice. The quality of the cables was very good and so was the pricing. As I was the one doing the installation, I didn't want to have to go back and string a new cable later if someone wanted to run a non-VGA device. So I ran a cable for every input the projector was capable of inputting. :)

Here's a link to the monoprice page for VGA cabling:

Modelworks: Thanks... my monitor should arrive this evening, I will check for that adjustment.

Creig: Thanks for the link. Those are seriously low prices! I have used Monoprice before... bought a load of SATA cable from them. I had a good experience. The shipping delays they are having seem pretty serious... lots of red type. I wonder what has happened with them?
