Will 1 more gig be a good upgrade for me?

My PC is this:

Asus K8V SE Deluxe
Athlon 64 3200+ (socket 754)
1 Gig of RAM (2x512, DDR333)
BFG GeForce 7800GS (AGP)

As you can see, I don't have many upgrade options with AGP and socket 754. Right now I have the opportunity to replace those memories with 2x1GB DDR400 from G.Skill.
Would it be a good upgrade for me, or not worth the money?
My motherboard only has 3 slots, so I'd have to get rid of at least 1 of my current memories. If I put the two new ones plus one of the old ones, I'll only have a 200MHz speed, and if I put only the new ones I'll have 400MHz, according to this picture from my mobo manual:

So I think I'd have to get rid of both the old ones. I probably won't be able to sell them, so they'd be just wasting space around.

Someone will buy them here, if the price is right. You'll definitely want to only use two sticks, with Skt. 754. Whether or not it's worth the money is completely up to you. I can tell you that you're not using that 7800GS to it's full potential, with only 1GB of RAM, since higher in game settings requires more than 1GB, in most newer games. In other words, if you plan on keeping that system for much longer, it would probably be wise to buy the 2 x 1 GB.

Thanks for the answer :)

I'm glad to hear it will be a good upgrade, because I already jumped on the oportunity. I won't be able to get a whole new computer anytime soon, so more RAM is pretty much the only upgrade I can get.

The reason I just bought 4GB.
