Linkage

Dont even have to sign up for anything. Installs a player, for which us parents can set game ratings and password for our kids. Once installed a game, you have the options to play ad supported, so far seen one ad as the game loaded, not between loads within the game itself, buy the game, or get wild coins to buy game.

Seemed too good to be true, but it is. Im having a blast and as soon as my kids show up, they will be too. Can almost say to hell with gametap if this continues to be free and ad supported.

They have changed over the years, just try gumboy or assault heros.
few years ago yes, Id agree, but they have a kick ass game library now, with pretty decent graphics.
If you like locoroco on the psp, you most likely like gumboy.

something about having young kids playing computer games doesn't sit well. They should be outside playing, IMO.
whatever floats your boat.

Blackhawk Striker was awesome back many years ago. Perhaps I can finally get back to playing it. I'll install these on a laptop though as I don't want it on my primary computer.

Geez its not as if I have them pegged to the pc 24/7. they play for a hour if that, or my kids are playing with their toys. in fact my youngest likes to play with his toys more then be on the pc, and my oldest is big time into making his own games and animation, WHICH, in this day and age can benefit him into learning a trade when he gets older. Should I stop him from doing that?

How can some people be so narrow minded :p

Do you have cup and ball on a stick? I have it and its ok that you miss the cup because the ball is on a string thats attached to the cup. Opps there I go I missed again, thank god the ball is aon a string or I would have to pick it up off the floor.

WOOT I made it into the cup!

Same here...

It has changed. I used to do the exact same thing. its not the same old pos it used to be or I wouldnt be posting it. You get to play all the games that you would find at like miniclip or shockwave completely free if you chose to play with it ad supported. And even then your only subjected to one, very short video or ad, only while the game loads, and can cut off the moment the game has finished loading.

You need to try it before you knock it.

You install your first game, it installs it and the player, then you get a button that says PLAY, hit that, click on FREE session play, you watch or read a stupid ad, then you get to play no matter how many times you want, full games, no time limit, for absolutely NOTHING out of your pocket unless you want to buy it, for some dumb reason.

I'll have to look into it, but to back up several of the above posters a few years ago I tried Wildtangent and was not pleased with the selection or that fact that it was extremely hard to rid my computer completely of the installer itself. Once you downloaded it was not just a remove from program file operation to get rid of it. But maybe they've changed, I'll check 'em out once I'm done mastering this paddle with a ball on a string attached to it. The ball and cup thing is totally old hat.

I tried the one with the ball on a string attached to the paddle, but all I can manage to do is hit air, or the string.

I remember someone playing a Wildtangent game on my Mom's laptop. Afterward, I got some damn alertbox everytime I started the PC that couldn't get removed until I disabled it through MS-Config.

I been removing games I dont care for, and its never done anything like it has in the past.

I am agreeing with you all on the fact while ago, it used to be a PITMFA to remove a WT game. I totally felt the pain, BUT, Im trying to say its not like that at all anymore. I get no pop ups, no spyware, or alerts going off, and I got all the software for it if it had it. And again I wouldnt be posting this if it were shit.

Assult Hero's is a Sierria Game, thats on there, its the same exact game you would have to pay for to play through Xbox 360 live in the arcade section. The games are 10000000x times better then what they were back in the day.

So yes people, back in the day they used to do crap to our computers that drove us bonkers, but I swear to you, this is totally legit, no spyware, and you can keep playing the games, hundreds of games, for free for they are all ad supported. I think I have downloaded about 150 and deleted 20 so far, without a single problem at all.

This was in the latest issue of PC Gamer I just got, page 16, and had to see for myself because if what I read was true, it was, well too good to be true. But it really is. Im having a damn blast, if you want to just bitch, and not try, your the one missing out now ;)

I still cannot believe the kids of games Im able to play for free, and Im still waiting for the catch, or my pc to go nuts, buts its not doing nothing but allowing me to have some kick ass gaming fun!

Back in my day, sonny, I somehow managed a delicate balancing act of playing computer games AND playing outside. But I guess it's possible today's young whipper-snappers just don't have that kind of gumption.
