Why the hell do I get calm and happy when I listen to Wilco? Their lyrics take up a cocktail napkin, their sound reminds me of any podunk bar I sat in, why oh why do they make me so happy?

Cause it's good stuff. Kicking Television is probably still my favorite album, most likely cause I like A Ghost is Born the best out of their studio stuff. Though I've found myself listening to a lot of A.M. lately as well... their sound has changed a lot over the years and has stayed the same - it's intriguing.

Same here. However, I was not making a reference to radio chatter.

It was an ancient VOIP chat program for gaming, and also a character in an old videogame. 🙂
