“Just as dessert was being served, the president explained to Mr. Xi he had something he wanted to tell him, which was the launching of 59 missiles into Syria,” Ross said. “It was in lieu of after-dinner entertainment.”

As the crowd laughed, Ross added: “The thing was, it didn’t cost the president anything to have that entertainment.”

An administration with such cavalier attitudes toward use of force should be concerning to people on either side of the political spectrum.

I swear this fucker is so miserable in this job that he's trying to sabotage things like this so he gets impeached and can go back to his normal life. I have no other way to rationalize the non stop fuckery coming from this administration.

"After dinner, entertainment."

What else would it be. The decision was made... Might as well sit back and watch the Airbase get hit.

And some fucking beautiful chocolate cake. Although I think I could find something more interesting if I was popping off 84 million in firecrackers into a sovereign nation for entertainment.

Plus the meatloaf is great.
Being serious is talking about a Syria strike more appropriate after breakfast talk?

This would be over cigars and and a gentleman's cocktail like a Manhattan later in the evening. Preferably in a room that looked and smelled like Mahogany and old leather. Or maybe he's saving the Manhattan for the big badda boom he has in store for North Korea.

As a lowly plebe, I cannot see how discussing such events out side of a serious meeting type environment are considered.

Well, when billionaires get together, blowing off 59 cruisers @ $1.59 mil per (~$94 mil) for entertainment is chump change, and for the fact that the fireworks display was sponsored by the US gov't, was all done for the express purpose of distracting away from Trump's many woes and failures and there you have it, gov't sponsored waste at its epic worst.

Yet, the Repubs are fully intent on taking middle class and poor people's health care away from them if they think they can get away with it.

Think what that $94 mil could have done for improving the healthcare needs of the working class, or for those other worthy causes that DIRECTLY benefit the welfare of the working stiff at large.

No matter the cost, the chemical redline was the ignition for all of this. Isn't the first, isn't the last.

Except next time someone should knock on Assad's door. Bombing airstrips does nothing to ignorant people.
