Wikipedia me something

Currently bored right now, and want to learns me something new. So find me a wikipedia page that YOU find interesting, whatever the subject may be, sports, science, fictional character, human anatomy, etc..

I googled most popular wikipedia articles and this came up:

http://boingboing.net/2007/11/21/top-ten-most-viewed.html

Top ten Conservipedia articles are:

1. Main Page‎ [1,906,729]
2. Homosexuality‎ [1,572,713]
3. Homosexuality and Hepatitis‎ [517,086]
4. Homosexuality and Promiscuity‎ [420,687]
5. Gay Bowel Syndrome‎ [389,052]
6. Homosexuality and Parasites‎ [388,123]
7. Homosexuality and Domestic Violence‎ [365,888]
8. Homosexuality and Gonorrhea‎ [331,553]
9. Homosexuality and Mental Health‎ [291,179]
10. Homosexuality and Syphilis‎ [265,322]

Isn't that odd.

This is just cool and bizarre, and from what I know, isn't completely understood even with today's tech :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonoluminescence

EDIT : Yep 🙂

"The mechanism of the phenomenon of sonoluminescence remains unsettled. Theories include: hotspot, bremsstrahlung radiation, collision-induced radiation and corona discharges, nonclassical light, proton tunneling, electrodynamic jets, fractoluminescent jets (now largely discredited due to contrary experimental evidence), and so forth."

^^ Pretty wild. First discovered in 1934, and still a relative mystery 75 years later.

"No, we're not obsessed with this, why do you ask?"

:awe:

Are you asking me or Wanda Sykes? If you're asking whether Wanda Sykes is really a lesbian, yes she is. She was on Conan and mentioned "her wife". That's how I found out.

No I meant I thought seeing her talk for 12 seconds would make it obvious by then.

Why not do the Wikipedia challenge? Go from Queen (the band) to the plain ole cheese page in as few links as possible. You are supposed to shoot for less than 20 pages, I did it in 5.

Wow, I didn't know about this! 😱 Why isn't there more research being put into this?

Gay bowel syndrome, which has also been described as gay bowel disease, was named as an illness in 1976 in the medical literature via the journal Annals of Clinical and Laboratory Science....
Man I definitely read the title of that journal wrong the first time.

Gay bowel syndrome is a clinical pattern of anorectal and colon diseases which occur with unusual frequency in homosexual patients (the diseases are not exclusive to male homosexuals).
:hmm:
