About friggen time. Called toys-r-us this morning and they had 2 Wii's. Went down there and some little kid (around 9 yo) and his dad were looking at the empty boxes and then I hear "sure you can get a Wii". My heart sank. I knew if they only had one there was no way I could get it and that little kid not get one. Luckily they still had two 😛

Got Rayman Raving Rabbids and some friends came over and we all played that and Wii Sports. Pretty fun so far!

try harder, they are becoming more available now...in my area instead of selling out within a few minutes of getting delivered, you have like 2 hours. heh
 
i've had mine since release day and my Halo 2 playing time has dwindled to little-to-none...Wii Sports is amazing and the Superstar Mode on Madden 07 is addicting as all hell!

oh man, i love my wii. best $400 investment ever (for hours and hours of funness w/ friends and stuff). $400 included a couple games, controllers, etc...

ah screw waiting in line... what you do is, go to ebgames.com, bestbuy.com circuitcity.com, walmart.com, target.com, samsclub.com, costco.com, toysrus.com etc game supplier stores and find all the local stores in your area, create a text file with all their phone numbers (copy and paste to make it faster)... then call them all between 10am and 12pm and im sure you'll get one within a few days. sure is faster than waiting in line..
 
i had mine since launch. barely played zelda, sports is a family game and party game. and rented rayman during christmas for party. great times, but i love my 360 more for some reason
however my wario smooth moves should be coming sometime this week. can't wait for the crazy minni games there....

i am sooooooo surprised that wii is still in shortage and in such huge demand after 2 months...
 
Just got mine today. I played Wii Sports for bit and really enjoyed it.

Time to make my Mii.

Zelda is good as always. It's kind of like Ocarina of Time. Every dungeon has something unique and kept it fresh. The only thing the Wii remote makes better are the bow and other aiming devices. It made some of the bosses ridiculously easy because of the vastly superior precision...I'm guessing it's because the game was originally for the gamecube pad.

zelda is awesome but most of my gaming time is spent on XBL lately. GoW and R6 is simply too addictive.
i'll get to zelda at some point. my friend who preordered with me at TRU and got the wii on launch day with me already beat the game, he said it was one of the best games he played

also another friend who got the wii last week, got his whole family, especially his retired parents hooked on wii sports. we went to lunch with his mom this morning and she told him to hurry up and eat so she could go home and play some wii bowling. ROFL.

but in other wii related news... a woman died for a wii: 🙁

I beat Zelda about 2 weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it, the ending isn't amazing, but not disappointing either. Either way, great game.
 
For those that have it, pop Resident Evil 4 in your Wii. Super buttery frame rate.

If you are new to the Wii and never had the 'Cube, get RE4, a cube mem card and a Wavebird Controller.
 
dividebyzero, does RE4 support progressive scan / 480p?
my wii is on a component cable, glad i didn't fall for the stupid ebay gamecube $70-for-a-component-cable BS.
 
RE4 was the second game I bought for my Wii (right after Zelda:TP). 😀 I wish the good GC games weren't so hard to find. Went into a few places looking for Zelda:WW and F-Zero GX and neither store had them... but they had plenty of copies of sh1t like Avatar, Open Season, and a ton of craptacular Disney/Nick cartoon games.
 
you should be good with any gamecube player's choice and they shouldn't be that hard to find. i got a bunch from a overstock coupon glitch for $1.20 each shipped. Mario Sunshine, Zelda WW, Zelda FS, Luigi Mansion, PAper Mario, Mario Golf, Baten Kaitos, Pikmin2, all still sealed and haven't started playing yet.

the only missing GC games in my list are Mario Kart DD. Smash Bros. and Metroid Prime 2. and i need a wireless wavebird. bad.

It seems that Toys-R-Us gets more than EB Games. Also, BestBuy is hording shipments and will be having a huge release of them on Sunday. Good luck! :thumbsup:
