Wii

pontifex

I got the new issue of Nintendo Power today and looked through it. I don't think any of the Wii games I saw interested me in the least bit.

None of the games even get very great reviews. I think SSX Blur got an 8.5 but all the others got a 7 or lower.

I'm really losing interest in the Wii. I haven't even played mine for over a month.

I have about 5 Wii games and a few GC games and I haven't finished any of them.

Wii:
Twilight Princess
Rayman
Red Steel
Metal Slug Anthology
Wii Sports

GC:
Metriod Prime
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Resident Evil 4
some hockey game (got it and metroid together for like $10)
paper mario

I think I have about 4 VC games too.

thats the problem with the wii. its appealing but doesnt deliver. I would love to see some FPS on it

yeah.

plus, my vision for the wii (before it was released) was a lot greater than what we got. all the games seem to be quick little fluff games to show off the remote but don't actually use it for anything that great.
again, its probably just the games that are out now. hopefully they get a lot better in the future.

that's just the problem with console games and growing up... you just stop playing because there are more important/fun things to do... and pc gaming > *

Eh, I've gone form PC to Console in my old age. I just dont care to sit at the computer any more than I do for school. I'd rather just sit on the couch, turn up my HT and play some 360 on my PJ.

Anyone notice that basically every FPS on the Wii is mediocre?

i think they are focusing too much on the controls.

graphics+ sounds made gow excellent on the 360.

I still enjoy it. But I'm not as hardcore a gamer as a lot of the folks on these forums are. I don't expect to ever see games like FPSs being all that great on the Wii. It seems more destined to fill the role of more casual games of the Guitar Hero ilk.

The online multiplayer capabilities can't get here soon enough though. I'd love to play some Wii Sports-like games online.

is there going to be a real tennis game for the wii??
virtua tennis 3 is out for xbox360 and ps3. =(

Of course. I don't think any have been announced, but you know it's going to happen. Wii Sports Tennis is really popular, and the tennis is a game that would be perfect for the Wii remote. With sales of the Wii being as good as they have been, I'd expect to see a lot of third party support. But honestly, when it comes to tennis I really like the Mario Tennis series. Realistic? Not even close. Fun as hell? You better believe it.

Yeah, the game selection is not great - yet. But it will get better. I can't wait for Fire Emblem to come out.

Ever since the SNES went away, consoles have been about multi-player party games for me. Mario Party, Wii Sports, Burnout, etc. Fun games to play while everyone's over.

PC gaming is for the more strategic and story-line games. FPS just don't belong on consoles anymore than flight simulators.

I can't seem to want to spend $400+ on system that I will only play occasionally. I would love to a 360 or PS3, but I just can't stomach dropping that amount on the console itself.
