wii wireless motion bar

its infra-red but was wondering if anyone has their wii out of sight.

my htpc is large for my shelf-less tv flat screen (50inch) plasma wall mounted system. So i opted to fish wires out behind it and into the closet. i wanna put the wii in there and my xbox 360. has anyone done this?

this would be amazing if i could just hide all that garbage tbh... dedicate a closet to media/consoles real nice.

thanks

I've got my Wii (along with everything else) hidden in a media closet.

In my experience, the wireless sensor bar works better than the original, I think that's because the emitters in it are slightly stronger. Although mine isn't exactly wireless anymore. I hooked it up to a power adapter, so I didn't have to worry about batteries and turning it on and off all the time.

before i sold my wiik i had a wireless one, the nyko one i believe.

it was much better response wise than the default one nintendo gives you and it haev a much farther range as well. i bought it because i was like 13 feet or so from my tv where the bar sat on top, and it wouldnt pick up half the crap.

If you're really cheap you could make your own with a couple of LEDs.. that's basically all that is in those motion bars.

Yep! The reason the NYKO works so much better is because the LED's in it are brighter and it makes seeing them so much easier for the Wiimote.

Mount it on top of or on bottom of the flat screen and pair it with a power adapter and you'll be all set.

But if you're really REALLY cheap you can just use 2 candles. Candle light gives off IR light as well and works fine.
