Is this Xbox thing for next Thursday? And it's at 1 P.M., right?
You gotta vote for it, but I'm fairly certain it will beat out the other stuff. If it wins, it will be available at 2pm EST on Thanksgiving. They'll announce the winner the day before.

Ok so assuming the 360 wins, which it will since it has 85% of the vote right now, they have 1,000 units to sell at 2pm EST. They're going to announce that the $100 console will be available a day before so everyone can be ready. How fast will the 1,000 units go at that price and will the Amazon servers stay up?

I mean I'm going to try, heck yeah, but I won't be surprised if they go in 30 seconds and are gone by the time I check out.

I'm sure they'll go even faster than that. It's worth a shot, though!

Unfortunetly it will likely be faster then that...

Selling 2,000+ of them for $200 might have been a better idea or going the bundle route and sell way more then 2000 of them for $250 bundled with Gears of War.

I rather get the Wii

Dont need to pay a annual fee for online play.

that annual fee provides the absolute BEST online experience in console gaming, that will not be beaten by Nintendo or Sony.

The Wii IS a budget system.

That cannot even play a dvd ...
There's plenty of good arguments against the Wii, but this isn't one of them. If you're buying a $250 game machine, you already have or can afford a $20 DVD player.

I would want my game system to play a DVD.

Why? Game systems are notably crappy as DVD players.

They did it because of licensing fees. Personally I've watched a couple dvds on my ps2, and never on my xbox. How often do you watch dvds on your game console?
