I have no idea why they marked the price down so fast. It took a very long time for SM3DW and other 1st party games to drop in price. I'm pretty sure MK8 is still selling very well.

My guess is because Best Buy's GCU puts it at $48 and they're doing the SSB events this weekend, so Wal-Mart is trying to find some way to draw customers for video games.

Could end up being wrong but I don't see Best Buy's GCU program impacting Walmart/Amazon "too" much as it requires a $60 buy-in. So unless you're buying quite a few games each year, the savings won't amount to much if any. That's assuming they go off of the "Average person buys 1-2 new games or whatever a year" statistic. Can't remember where I read it but eh. All I know is I personally don't buy nearly enough new games to make the buy-in price worth it to me compared to buying used at Gamestop. Even with their used prices I usually find them cheaper at Gamestop even without the pro membership and would need to buy many games at Bestbuy before breaking even. To each their own of course.

I must collect them all. 🙁

Do we know when the Amiibo toys are going to be commercially available? The article mentioned them, and I realized that I never saw a release date.
