Wii static/interference

I'm having the strangest problems with MULTIPLE wiis. I can't actually figure it out, here's the run down:

1. My first week was causing static/interference on every tv in my house (from plasmas to lcds) using all stock cables... Horizontal waves that go up and down the screen, so many that games weren't playable. Also high pitch sounds on white/bright screens

2. I tried newer video cables - the problem was worse now

3. I returned the console and got it repair under warranty - nitendo tells me the circuit board was fried

4. plug everything in, same problem

5. I replace the ac/adapter and everything's much better (games are now playable)

BUT

6. The static is getting worse again depending on the tv - it's playable on the LCD but unplayable on a plasma

I'm using both the stock video cables and after market component cables (as well as my old stock gamecube cables). Problem is worst on component, but exists on all.

any ideas? Nintendo's answer is for me to send my unit in again but I'm just really confused...

What do you have it plugged into? Wall/power strip/UPS between the two TVs. If the board got fried, you may be having problems with however you have your Wii plugged up for power.

If you've tried on multiple displays and with multiple AC Adapters and Multiple video cables then there are 3 possible sources of the problem: The Wii, a totally unrelated device, or the electric in your house (kind of a WTF but figured I'd throw it in there.).

Are you running the displays from same electrical outlet? Are these displays in different rooms? This can eliminate 2 of the 3 possibilities... and after that I'm afraid the answer might just be to send the Wii in again, but if you complain loud enough you might get this taken care of on their dime.

edit: Okay, I guess Queasy was faster to reply than me and I guess the electrical issue is as big of a WTF as I thought.

You know, I thought it was an electrical issue at this this point.

The tvs are in different rooms in different parts of the apartment, with various degrees of static. I've plugged the wii directly into the wall and then through a powerstrip.

What's interesting is, at it's worst, the wii would cause static on my plasma even when it was on a different INPUT. I could be watching a dvd or cable tv and, just by being on (and connected via composite), the wii would cause the same lines.
