How do I own in this game? Friends of mine keeping owning me. They're all pro and I'm stuck.

How are these guys doing this?

Are there any tricks hitting strikes?

In bowling you need to hit the pocket right, have a decent curve on the ball, and have enough power. If you get that down then all that's left is to practice your spares.

I actually bowl the way I do at the bowling alley. It gives me a kickass score. The Wii doesnt pick up on my hook enough though, but it's still decent.

Wii Bowling seemed way too easy....I think I got a 268 once...because I dropped a pin in the 7th! Scroll all the way to the right, angle back towards the pocket and flick your wrist when "throwing" the ball.

The first console game I'm good at!

My little nephew owns me just about every time we play bowling. I suck so bad it's embarrassing.

When we played this at my brother's house, my son was putting a natural spin on the bowling ball. It was the same way every time. I couldn't get him to just bowl straight for anything so I just told him to move the cursor over to the right and play his curve. He started getting strikes like crazy after that.

This is my current technique. Keep in mind that I am right handed.

1. I move my Mii so that the target line is overlapping the tick mark which is farthest to the right.
2. I change the angle of my Mii to point a little to the left so that the target line looks as if it will directly hit pin #3 or be somewhat between pin #3 and pin #6 if thrown perfectly straight. (see link below for diagram)
3. I stiffen my whole arm and I hold the Wiimote as instructed and I swing my arm extremely hard allowing my arm to bend half way through the swing so that the ball is tossed in the air quite a bit and it gains a lot of speed. At the same time, I am twisting my wrist to the left quickly so that the Wiimote ends up being turned 90 degrees to left just before I release the ball.

The result is that I will typically hit the pins in such an angle with enough speed to get a lot of strikes. I am still tweaking my technique but this is the best way I have found so far.

It is easy. My 12 year old daughter can get lots of strikes and her 11 year old guy friend who bowls with a heck of a right hook.

Its a fun game but I get confused bout how to put a spin on the ball.

The fact that the physics does not incorporate the opposing force on the ball as it hits the pins makes it much easier. :)
