For anyone wondering what the turnaround is.

Well i had to get my Wii service because i was getting those green artifacts everywhere when playing RE4. They gave me two options:
1. advance RMA which they'd ship you a console and you return yours
2. if you have VC games saved and want it transferred, you need to send it to them.

I had tons of VC games so i had to take the second option. I called for a RMA on 6/28 and they shipped me a sticker. I received that 7/3. I shipped out the console on 7/5 and they received it next day (NJ to NY). Finally got an email saying they received it 7/13 and 7/16 they said they fixed and shipped the console. Got it back today 7/17, and now im redownloading all my VC games. All my info was saved which i was surprised.

Overall process for me was 19 days. Anyone else have to service theirs?

I finally got around to get my DS Lite exchanged for a dead pixel and cracked hinge. They sent out a shipping label, I packed it up and dropped it off at a UPS box and they sent me a new DS. Can't remember how long it all took, a week or two, but wasn't long and pretty painless.

Do they provide the box and materials to ship, or do you need to provide the box?

When they send you another system is it a refurb system, or a new system?

So far my system has been pretty good. Sometimes I will get a disc read error when I put a game into the system. If I take the game out and then try again it works fine. Hopefully nothing happens, but just wondering in case I have to eventually send my system in for repairs.

You sent it in because you had a bunch of VC games, but then still had to redownload them? Oh, I suppose you're talking about saved game data, not the games themselves.

Not bad, but when you consider how much money Nintendo has and how much they're raking in from the Wii ad DS, they should be able to offer top notch customer service. Of course Nintendo has been doing this for decades (and not to mention their systems overall great reliability), so its good that they're keeping it up.

No box, just shipping labels. I would think it was a refurb system, looks new though.

They have all your data saved, so when you go to virtual console it just says "redownload". It would be nice if they had downloaded everything. Another minor thing, I had to recreate my Mii, because it kept saying "cant edit because you didn't create this mii"
