So we know you can use Gamecube controllers to play Gamecube games being played on Wii.

BUT

Can you use Gamecube controllers instead of the wiimote on Wii designed games?

Well I imagine there will be some games that won't really take advantage of the Wii remote, nor should they... and as such the GC controller will be useful for them. Or maybe I'm wrong, who knows 😛

Yeah, Super Smash Brothers Brawl will be using the GC controller.

I'm thrilled the SSBB is using the GC controller.

Are all wii games going to have a gc controller mode?

*crosses fingers*

SOME (very few) will, but 90-95% of them will use the remote + nunchuck.

There hasn't really been much talk about whether games will be designed to work with EITHER the Wii remote OR the GameCube controller. I think it'd be nice if some games did support that, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that.
