Got a 360 and now have a Wii. I just bought the Wii to keep since I thought it might be fun but seeing as how I could ebay it and get enough for a 40gb model PS3 I am considering just selling it. But which is better games wise? I've never played either system since no one local has them on display.

Well they have a PS3 but 90% of the time its just playing videos. I'm only considering selling it for a PS3 not to make a buck. If I don't decide on a PS3 I'm keeping it.

Honestly, I'd sell my Wii and get a PS3 if I didnt love Galaxy so much. (I've already got a 360)

Unless you have children or often host parties with 3 or more people, you'll get more use out of the PS3. Especially if they'll cost you the same, the Blu-Ray player alone is worth it.

one more question without making another thread. Is the PS3 and Wii reliable? Any known flaws in the design like the 360 has/had?

There have been some graphical issues with the Wii, some say it stems from WiiConnect24/7's always on mode getting the system hot... other than that though, I really haven't heard of many issue with either the PS3 or the Wii... certainly not like the 360's engineering flaw.

Completely different systems... but I do have both and my PS3 gets far more use than the Wii. Plus I use it as a BR player. But keep in mind that since you have a 360 already you will have access to many of the same games on the PS3 anyway. So it will really come down to the exclusives on the Wii vs the exclusives on the PS3. That said, I also have a 360 and still play my PS3 more than the Wii... the BR player just makes for a nice bonus feature.

I have a PS3 and 360 and have no intention of getting a Wii. That being said, I'd definitely get the PS3 if I were you. I COULD get the Wii, but I just don't think I would really use it.

Look at the current games out and then look at the games coming out in the future. Make your choice based on that since you already have a 360.

Secondly, it depends on what kind of gamer you are. If you are the type that wants the latest and greatest of graphics and you own a nice HDTV that you want to optimize the use out of then that points more towards a PS3. If you are the type of gamer who isn't ridiculously picky about what games you will play and you often find yourself desiring a variety then the Wii is good to consider since the games are very unique where the 360 and PS3 games are more similar in comparison.

Personally, I crave variety and I love the classics as much as I love the new stuff. Getting the Wii for the classics was more than enough reason to justify the cost. Getting the 360 was so I could have XBL, a wireless media center, HD quality stuff, and there were some good games coming out for it which I wanted. The only reason I have left to get the PS3 would be the Blu-ray player plus a few exclusive titles which will not be coming out for about a year or more. When they do come out, the stand alone Blu-ray players will probably be much cheaper anyways so I guess I will only want the PS3 for a few games.

The PS3 40GB doesn't play PS2 games (but does play PS1). It makes a good blu-ray player, and the PS3 exclusives are starting to add up.

Since you already have a 360, it's hard to recommend a PS3 just for gaming if you don't care about blu-ray.

Reliabilty: Sony had a PR statement out boasting of a 0.2% failure rate with the older units, and the 40GB uses a cooler (= usually more reliable) 65nm Cell processor. PS3's do die of course, but nothing like the original 360s.

I recently sold my Wii and picked up a used 60gb PS3 on ebay for about $400 with 2 controllers and 2 games. Blu-Ray, downloadable content(games/demos), and network ability for videos/mp3s/pics is worth it alone.
