so what do you guys think? should i get one?

At first i was afraid it'd splinter the wii community, but i'd like to give it a chance as long as it doesn't die out down the road

close to 1:1 motion accuracy is something not everyone will want, but if you want the Wii to be a more involved gaming experience, I think Motion Plus definitely adds a new layer to the system. Granted, I don't have it yet, haven't unpacked my Wii in a long time either. But from my younger cousin's descriptions of Plus with Tigers Woods 10, it sounds like a real winner for those looking for that level of play. He told me it makes Tigers Woods super hard, because a tilt of your wrist sends the ball screaming for the left or right, and he likes playing golf for real and describes it as very realistic for the golf swing.

Once you play some of the events in Wii Sports Resort with WM+, you'll want everything on the Wii to work with it.

It's pretty awesome just to see the level of control it offers when you look at the movement on screen compared to your movements with the Wii Remote.

I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Buy Tiger Woods 10 (with bundled WM+ of course) and Wii Sports Resort stat!

These two games will net you two WM+ add-ons and a couple of great games. WM+ is definitely worth the money even if it were for Tiger Woods 10 alone.

From what I've read, it only works for games that are designed for it. Will this mean new games will have an option to have it or not?

I can tell you from first hand experience that the WM+ works so well with Tiger Woods 10 that I would pay for the attachment separately for this game alone; much less any other games that come along and take advantage of this new technology. Now I want a game with a sword/lightsaber in it to come along for this little wonder.

Keep in mind this is coming from a Wii "hater" that didn't even really care for Wii sports except the bowling.

It is worth it and it is fun. Specifically table tennis and archery are totally awesome. Tiger Woods 10 is awesome too.

I thought about picking it up this weekend, but I have such a big backlog of games that I can wait for a coupon/sale (missed the Sunday Toys 'R' Us sale, oops). For those who did grab it this weekend, how does Wii Sports Resort stack up in terms of minigame quality?

i love the idea, but like every accessory, are devs actually going to use it? Look at the Wii Board... nothing really uses it. But then again, it's a $90 add on. If nintendo had made this more reasonable at $10, maybe. what else out there is planning on using it? supposedly red steel, but the first one was disappointing...

tho, I may buy tiger woods 10 for the disc golf =)

Only worth it if you are intersted in games that use it, obviously. I'm playing Tiger Woods 10 so I like it a lot. They are only $20 each so not too outrageous. What I'm wondering is what future games are going to incorporate it, and I'm hoping more than less will. I guess the Wii Sports Resort uses it.

Admittedly most of those look like crap and the rest probably only utilise the board in a small way.

Probably a waste of money; I don't see any non-Nintendo devs using this much.

Maybe, EA was actually the first to release something using it though so I think your theory may be wrong.

I certainly think it's worth it to buy it packaged with a game. It only added $10 to the cost of Tiger Woods 10 vs buying the game alone. I don't know if I'd buy it separately... but if it is packaged with a game that is worthwhile.

It will splinter the community because not everyone will have one. A lot of the casual gaming market I suspect has trouble coughing up for all the add ons - you need 4 wii motes, 4 nuchucks, steering wheels, balance boards, game cube style controllers and now these too. Costs a fortune to kit out a Wii these days.

Let me rephrase his statement. No good game really uses it.

Nothing good has really come from motion control, IMO. It very rarely adds any depth to a game, and 99% of the time is used in situations where normal controls would have sufficed or been better. It is a big distraction from quality gaming, and the best Wii games usually make little use of it besides tacked-on things.

Zack and Wiki is the only game I played where the motion controls were enjoyable, but even in that game that controls were a bit iffy sometimes.

Yes, it's a lot, but exaggerating excessively doesn't help. The Wii Wheel does -nothing- and you need one balance board, really.

Only a matter of time I'm sure, once they sell a bajillion of the add-ons, they'll integrate and sell another bajillion $40 wiimotes with it built in.

Welcome to Nintendo.
