1- What is the best way? I want to stream directly across my network. My up/down speed isn't great so I want to keep it all within my LAN.

2- How good will the image quality be if i get the component cables? Is it worth getting the Nintendo ones or will 3rd party be just as good?

3- Will blu-ray look like crap? I have some blu-ray movies i would LOVE to stream through my PC-Wii-TV because its cheaper than a blu-ray player. BUT, is it worth it?

1. I'm assuming you are using something like TVersity?

2. Get the component cables from monoprice.com. They're cheap and they are excellent.

3. You would essentially have DVD quality at best. Wii only goes up to 480p. Blu-ray is 1080p.

If it only goes up to 480p what would be the purpose of getting the cables then? Just for scaling purposes? Sucks that it wont do high def but oh well.

Video will look a bit sharper overall. For the price of the monoprice cables, it is worth it IMHO. The Nintendo branded cables at $20+....not so much.

I'm using ORB to stream divx to the kids tv via the wii browser.. Its OK for the kids, but I wouldn't be satisfied with it.. Its pretty choppy, but I don't think its the bandwidth.

I believe ORB is web based though, so it may not fit your LAN requirement. I wouldn't even think about BD using this solution.
