Got a wii here that won't read any disks. Appears like on some of them it loads up alittle bit but eventually gives some sort of read error. Reading online about it, I've seen something about replacing the laser. Anyone have issues with their unit? If so what was the symptoms and fix?
The Wii laser can be especially picky about dust. Nintendo sells a cleaning kit designed specifically for the Wii disc drive that isn't very expensive. It worked for me when my Wii started giving me problems reading game discs. I'd suggest trying that before doing anything more drastic.
