Wii and the elderly

Today I had the pleasure of teaching my 85 and 89 year old grandparents how to setup and play the Wii my other relatives bought for them. The commercials show old people and younger children playing it with ease but I really think there needs to be a disclaimer; "children required to operate television and system". As frustrating as the setup and teaching may have been, seeing the look on their faces as they boxed each other and bowled was priceless, they got REALLY into it! Next they'll be asking about the Wii Fit I'm sure 😛.

The cables are color coordinated...

My relatives always ask me to set up their entertainment stuff. It really annoys me. Can they really not figure it out, or are they just being lazy? (I am not talking about your grandparentrs, whose age explains why they need help. I'm talking about my 25-40 year old relatives.)

lol cables are one thing but when you explain the concept of switching inputs and using a "wiimote" it's a whole new ball game. You should tell your relatives you'll gladly set up their electronics and blatantly read the INSTRUCTION MANUAL in front of them 😛.
