Wii > all for one very simple reason

No other console can do lightgun games on non-CRT TVs. Period.

Well, PS3 has the Guncon3, but from what I hear it's a POS.

Infrared is a shitty substitute for true light guns anyways, and no console has ever had more than a half dozen or so arcade ports with 30 minutes of gameplay.

I dunno, I4AT, House of the Dead seems to play just fine for me on the Wii. Well, aside from the asinine design decision of making it automatically reload if you aim offscreen.

Your other comment is definitely true, sadly. I wish more of the lightgun game ports would be like Time Crisis 3 where they added a ton of content.

But seriously, we need Point Blank on the Wii

Epic (the makers of Unreal Tournament) says otherwise

Epic Games president Mike Capps said in response to a question on if the developer would consider making a game on the Wii, ?No, we go forward, not back. It makes more sense for us to invest in the next-generation tech.... How you take an engine that's all based on shaders and materials and run it on hardware that doesn't support shaders is just impossible. It's about as easy as PSP for us. Maybe it would make sense, but it makes more sense to invest going forward.?

Of course we will probably have another person from Epic speak about it next week to "clarify" the statement and say the opposite (probably announcing a version of Unreal Engine 3 for the Wii). Kinda like when the Unreal Engine 4.0 was going focus exclusively on consoles, then "clarified" to say otherwise (equal focus on consoles and PC)

It's the same in the arcade. The decision was made years ago.

No, in the arcade you SHOOT offscreen to reload. On the Wii, merely aiming offscreen reloads. It annoys me.

And always twirling, twirling, TWIRLING!

Calling the Wii a step backward is idiotic. It's a smaller step forward (from last generation) followed by a giant leap to the left. I can understand that it's not his bag, but he sounds kind of foolish throwing insults at the top selling system of the generation.

I bought the Link Crossbow training game with the hopes that it would be a typical shooter style game, ala point blank but it was more akin to moving around a cursor with the wiimote. Shooting with Time Crisis3 on the ps2 felt like I was actually shooting at the target I was aiming at.
If House of the Dead 2/3 plays similarly to Time Crisis 3 in that I don't feel like I'm moving a cursor, then I should give that game a look.

I dont think he said that at all. If you put it into context with the rest of the stuff he says it makes sense. I think he has a very valid point as well.

HoTD 2&3 is as good as the Arcade, IMHO.
