WIFI whilst traveling

ok guys this post might belong in networking but i want your guy's feedback. i have a friend who has an xbox and LCD's in his card, i someone else were to put an xbox and LCD in a seperate one could the two cars travel down the road (within a reasonable distace) and be able to be connected to each other VIA WiFi? it should work in theory but i was wondering if anything would interfere with it thanks.

Somebody did this already (make a Wireless network of laptops between two vans), but I haven't been able to find it on google yet. Anyway, it's been tried with some success.

BTW, this isn't really HT and probably would have been better suited to the Networking forum.
