I installed Vista Home Premium on my new 1505 and vista installed a generic broadcom 802.11g adapter which doesnt have near the changable settings as the dell driver did. My wifi just seems more sluggish now. any ideas?

also a lot of sites are timing out on my now and never did before

also I have the Dell 1390 Wlan card

i installed the latest Vista driver from Broadcom which gave me all the setting options back but still seems very sluggish compared to wifi on same laptop under xp pro. any ideas?

some people have had issues with vista wireless on boot (ie it could take 10-20 minutes after windows load before wifi gets up to speed), are you having that or is it always slow? Also you say it feels sluggish can you do any kind of tests (maybe a file transfer to another pc on your network) and see what the actual difference is?
