recently i bought a laptop and i have never before set up any WIFI network in my house, so i would like to ask for a few guidelines. I have a table PC and a laptop, and i want to connect them both to the internet. Now im using a simple wired router, but of course i would like a WIFI. What kind of router or device would you suggest, so my table PC would be plugged in and my laptop would be set on WiFi

These pages can be as a basic tutorial.

My Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.html

Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html

And does it depend on the router how far away i could take my laptop from it so i would staty connected. Or all the routers are more or less the same? I dont want to overpay, but also dont want to buy crap :)

The Router that I mentioned does much better than any of the 802.11g and better than most draft_N.

Why? Cause as its name suggest HP= High Power wireless.

Wireless Routers' prices start at $20. Thus $48 is Not so cheap.

However YMMV, the above is my personal view based on personal experience.
