I have AT&T gigabit which comes in through my basement, I am using the included router but want to get extra wifi strength in certain rooms on the first floor.
The router I plan to use to extend the signal is a TP-Link C7 AC1750. My question is should I mount it upside down to the first floor floorboards between the joists, or should I put a small shelf between two joists and mount it right side up?
Is having it boxed in between joists going to hurt the signal vs having it mounted lets say 2 feet below the joists against the wall?
