I've got a friend whose internal LAN network is based on WiFi. Her router is Window's wireless base station. Her computer is running on windows ME.
Her problem is that her wifi will randomly shut off for the ME computer. However, the XP and the 98 computers will continue to run just fine after hers is disconnected. The computer will no longer see any network, or any network connection. If the computer is restarted, the internet, the network, and the connection will appear again. It'll keep on working just fine, until it disconnects. Theres no time limit on when it disconnects - sometimes immediately after a restart, sometimes hours and hours after a restart.
Anyone have an idea where i can start looking to solve this problem? She ended up buying a new laptop, so she no longer uses her desktop, but she'd still like to fileshare back and forth between the computers - and with this problem, it makes it nearly impossible. Help please!
