Question WiFi Mesh Extender

Hello, I got a Wifi6e modem-router in my apartment but the range is very poor. Wifi6e equipped devices cannot receive signals when they are in a room about 12 feet away from it. In this case, shall I get only one or two extenders? Also, given that the modem-router is Wifi6e, is it better to spend more to get a mesh extender that supports Wifi6e than a less expensive one that supports at most only Wifi6?

Was this modem-router supplied bu your ISP? You can't get signal from 12 feet away? I'd ask for them to replace it. Or you could purchase your own router and set the modem-router to bridge mode so it passes an IP to your own router.

Have you tried adjusting the antennas and using different channels? You shouldn't need an extender or 2nd router to go a mere 12ft.

Make sure that the current Wireless Router is above the systems and the Antenna is in open environment.
