EDIT: PC card and drivers are installed in my sister's laptop. For some reason, I can't connect to my home network
It keeps saying that "One or more wireless networks are available". I type in the encryption key and click Connect, but it won't connect.
I have a Thinkpad T23 with built in Wifi, which connects fine.
Random thought: my sister's laptop had AOL installed, which i uninstalled. Could this have screwed with some network stuff within Windows?
Also, my sister's laptop connects fine via ethernet to my WiFi router.
------------------------------------------------------------
I'm trying to configure my sister's laptop so she can use WiFi. (802.11b)
She's running Windows XP. I've tried two different brand wifi cards (SMC and Uniden) and neither will connect. I've used an Orinoco card in the past and it worked fine. I'm wondering if the drivers and everything left behind by the hardware are causing conflicts....
Is there a way i can wipe out all of the WiFi stuff in Windows are start fresh? (besides a reformat/reinstall of course)
